Journey to the Core of Existence
Have you ever realized that you are the only person whose skin you have been inside of--and that your entire life and memory of everything in your life has been perceived through your own brain--including everything you believe you 'know' about the world, history, geography, astronomy and civilization? Ever let yourself really ponder the infinite vastness of the universe? Ever been inside of a psychedelic experience enough to realize that the only true Reality must not be the ephemeral data perceived and transformed by your mind, but must be eternal and permanent and deeper than your mind? This is what I call the core of existence. I want to talk about these ideas I have been formulating for the last 54 years in a series of posts. I will refrain from using religious language as much as possible in this discussion, though that does not mean in any way to deny or disrespect life-giving Faiths. The purpose of this discussion is to try to grasp the essentials, while avoiding heated religious rhetoric.
